Gary is a cofounder and leads the creation and implementation of all products, services, and the technical vision.
Gary has over 22 years of experience in software, hardware, and product development and engineering management. Prior to IpTL, Gary worked in access networking in a range of positions including Team Lead and seven years as Chief Engineer, Software Development managing a team of 12 software engineers as well as outside contract engineers to perform custom software development.
Gary oversaw all software development activities on a range of products and features including Remote Access Servers, Firewall Routers, and Carrier DSL Access Equipment and CPE. Focused on embedded Linux platform’s, Gary was able to speed development activities and created a unified software platform targeted to multiple hardware platforms. Gary oversaw the complete software lifecycle of several in-house software projects including definition of source repository, backup systems, active development and bug tracking systems. Gary’s other responsibilities included hardware and software development reviews for technical accuracy and scheduling and building compact PCI systems, including DSL Server Blades, remote CPE Equipment, and Management interfaces and systems.
Scott holds eight patents and four patents-pending.
