Independent lab tests IpTL appliances and finds no known Cyber Security vulnerabilities for PCI DSS 4.0 compliance scans
BALTIMORE, Maryland USA October 15, 2020 – IP Technology Labs®, the American manufacturer of secure endpoint IoT connectivity and reliable remote access solutions, announced today that it has been independently verified to pass all Payment Card Industry PCI DSS 4.0 elements and general cyber networking security without indicating any vulnerabilities.

IpTL has had TLSv1.2 in all its appliances since it was available and has never used vulnerable SSL. Using Tenable’s Nessus™ vulnerability scanner shows that IpTL has zero critical, high, medium, or low vulnerabilities for PCI DSS 4.0 elements. A copy of the report is available upon request. This assessment is a compliance test to determine if the hardware and software that IPTL provides can be placed into a standards-compliant network and enhance or maintain the high level of security that the network had prior to the use of the IPTL devices. IPTL devices in and of themselves cannot be compliant certified for most compliance standards, (i.e. PCI, 508, Soc 1/ SSAE 18, Soc 2, ISO 27001, NERC CIP, and others), the system is what is certified.
The Payment Card Industry (“PCI”) Standards Council sets forth the Data Security Standards (“DSS”) for all entities involved in payment card processing. Recognizing the increase in threats, breaches, and exploits compliance with the PCI DSS helps to alleviate these vulnerabilities and protect cardholder data. PCI DSS 4 compliance is required for merchants, devices, and applications within the Cardholder Data Environment (“CDE”) for payment processing. IpTL previously passed all PCI DSS 3.2 updates in a previous scan with PCI DSS v4.0 due to be finalized in 2021.
